The Educational Theater Company

"Wow! I heard you guys were good, but I didn't think you'd be this great!" L.C., Golden Valley Middle School, San Bernardino

A dynamic non-profit professional theater company, ETC is dedicated to educating and enlightening young people with positive messages via original multi-ethnic stage shows and workshops.

Over two million people throughout California and Arizona have seen ETC's exciting, original and informative shows. Through a skillful weaving of drama, comedy and music, ETC shows become powerful statements which impact audiences at a very deep level. They not only entertain and inform, but can actually transform awareness by touching the hearts and minds of the audience.

"I'd like to share with you a comment that was made by a young male teacher who is currently a smoker...He said that he wished that he'd seen an assembly like this one when he was in high school. He felt it may have made a difference in his decision to start smoking." S.B., Poly High School, Los Angeles

"I must pass on to you the comments made by numerous teachers that this was the best middle school assembly they ever saw." A.K., Adams Middle School, Los Angeles

All shows are developed with input from educators and tested to ensure that schools are receiving the best in educational as well as artistic quality.

Professional actors of varying ethnic backgrounds work together in 3-4 person casts so that the shows visually break down stereotypes. Performing live to 20,000 students a month, ETC has a firm hold on the pulse of today's youth. NOBODY DOES IT BETTER!

"Excellent job...very impressive and effective. Show remarkably well suited to a diverse audience of high schoolers. Contemporary." Berkeley High

"One of the best assemblies I've experienced in my 17 years of teaching - fast moving, appropriate, not preachy, good stats and information." Lakewood High

"Excellent job. It was creative and it reached the level of the students without being 'preachy' or condescending. The actors were great! I really feel that the information used in the show was educational and extremely beneficial to the student population of Bancroft Middle School. Keep up the brilliant work!"
